Ah, halters. Nothing says summer like a flirty little tied top. I remember in the 70’s as a little girl seeing my Mom make these numbers up from a pattern she made out of newspaper for me and my older teenage sisters – they were so cool pairing them with cut-offs and bell bottoms, sigh.

The Kelly top is made in a fabulous and well scaled paisley in green, cream and pink tones. The halters are fully lined with waist darts and adjustable tie closures at the neck and back, giving it a great fit and enough support that going braless for most is totally doable. Works well on the average figure, including those with a smaller chest. The pretty fabric is cotton with a poly/cotton solid broadcloth lining.

Easy tie at neck and back that help give shape and fit
Ties at back waist and dips just below waist in front
Paisley print in green, cream and pink, front lining is solid cream
Full lining, shaping ties and waist darts make it simple to just tie on and go
Made of 100% Cotton and 65%/35% Cotton/polyester lining
Fabrics are pre-washed, pre-shrunk

A few details about the garment:

Side Pockets (don’t you just love having pockets in a dress)?
Finishes above the knee with a rounded shirttail hem.
Removable belt so you can wear it with another favourite belt (leather would be smashing) cinched, or loosely on its own, or even open as a tunic or jacket over jeans, leggings, paired with a T-Shirt or thin sweater.
Long sleeves with a button tab so you can roll them up and get down to business (or into a really good lunch) without sleeves getting in the way.
Classically constructed collar, and back yoke for ease and fit.
Smart deep brown buttons finish the look beautifully.
As always, hand sewn buttons, collar and sleeve facings give it a smart finish and that personal bespoke touch.
Made of 100% Cotton Babywale Corduroy.
I’ve pre-shrunk the cotton, so if you follow the washing instructions in cold wash and low dryer, you should get minimal to no shrinkage.
